We are just a few days away from our 8th Annual Surfin' Turkey and Puppy Drum Run presented by Midgett Realty and The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau! We can't wait to share Thanksgiving morning with all of our wonderful runners, walkers, and volunteers!
What if I missed online registration?
- No problem! Register in person at the Hatteras Civic Center during packet pick up on Wednesday from 4-6pm OR on race day from 7-7:30am.
Where do I pick up my race packet?
-Packet Pickup is at the Hatteras Village Civic Center on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 4pm to 6pm and on the morning of the race between 7am and 7:30am. Packets may be picked up either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning before the race.
What time does the race start?
-The Surfin' Turkey 5k starts at 8am. The Puppy Drum Run 1/2 mile starts at 9am.
Where do I park?
-There will be limited race day parking on site at the Hatteras Civic Center. Additional on-street parking available nearby.
What about the after party?
-Come our and enjoy hot pancakes after the race! Carolina Brewery will also provide fresh microbrew beer for participants over 21 who would like to enjoy it.
Why should I race?
-So glad you asked! You should race to support HIYEF! All proceeds from this race support the Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund (HIYEF). HIYEF provides funding for educational opportunities and enrichment in Hatteras Island schools. What to learn more? Can I be involved without racing?
