If you are a business owner, family, or just individual looking for a way to contribute to Hatteras Island students, please consider becoming a sponsor of the Hatteras Youth Education Fund's upcoming fundraiser, The Surfin' Turkey 5K. This race is one of two major fundraisers we host each year that brings in the proceeds used to fund Cape Hatteras Secondary School and Cape Hatteras Elementary School with grant opportunities for their teachers to impact their students. Check out the grant section of our website to see all of the funding that occurred in the 2018-2019 school year. Just a few highlights include sending students to compete in Math Rockstars, Science Olympiad, and Battle of the Books. We also sent several groups on field trips this past year to places such as Washington, D.C. and Raleigh N.C.
Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund is a 501c3 non-profit, which makes any funds donated tax deductible at the end of the year. We hope that you will consider supporting our upcoming race and the students of Hatteras Island.
