The Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund, a tax exempt nonprofit, is funded through the two races we host each year. Each Memorial day, the Shore Break 5k and Tide Pool Fun Run are held in Avon and each Thanksgiving the Surfin' Turkey 5k and Puppy Drum Run are held in Hatteras Village.
