The Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund is thrilled to announce we will be holding the fun and memorable Memorial Day race this May 30, 2022!
Register now to kick off summer in the best way possible! Family, friends, fellow runners and walkers UNITE to support this wonderful charity that directly supports the students of Hatteras Island!

This event will feature two races, the Shore Break 5k and the Tide Pool Fun Run. The 5k will start at 8am and the fun run will start immediately after. There will be finisher medals for each race as well as a huge award ceremony, complete with breakfast, music, refreshments, and Carolina Brewery beer.

The HIYEF awards grants to our community schools which enables our students to do fun and enriching activities like seeing the Nutcracker Ballet, traveling to tour a collage campus, establish a free Little Library, and have an unforgettable prom!
